MIP’s .9mm and .050inch Drivers are especially popular among Helicopter Model Hobbyists for the Align T-Rex 250 Electric Micro Helicopter Kit!

“Thorp has .050 inch hex driver that fits Align 1.3mm screws perfectly. You need both of these hex drivers(.9mm and .05inch) since there are couple of screws that still has .9mm head even after switching over to 1.3mm heads. These wrenches are not cheap...but they are well worth it.

“I just got the mip .9 and it is an amazing difference, This really is a great tool for this heli.”

“ The quality is definitely the separating factor that puts the MIP tools ahead of the rest.”

-Nathan Q., Letter, MIP Testimonials

“They are a little pricey but i think well worth the price. the fit i hear is perfect, not like my Wiha tool that measured .84mm and was sloppy loose... although i have heard some are having good luck , i think there are inconsistency's in manufacturing the Wiha .9mm that's why some fit perfect and some don't , i'm just glad i got my Thorp ordered...”

“The Wiha tool sucks, my Thorp .9mm screw just arrived yesterday,,,But man, it works so good, i was able to back out my flybar cage screws without even heating up the loctite.”

-HeliFreak.com, Forum, Align 250

“The MIP tools are amazing...”

“+1 on Thorp Drivers.  Had mine since the (RC) car days. Tips still like new...”

“I vote for MIP Thorp hex drivers.  They are excellent.”

“Since you already fly planes you know the value in quality tools. You'll need some specialized tools for setting up and maintaing your heli...quality allen drivers (... MIP/Thorpe,...) for starters.”

-RC Heli Forums, Best for Beginners

“I probably use these more than anything in the bag. ...These are the best wrenches I've found. .. What I like about these particular hardened allen wrenches is they fit good and they feel good in my hand. The quality is as good as it gets.”

Praise from the Robot Modelers Community:

“Before I bought the Thorps, I used to use the run-of-the-mill "L" hex wrenches and "Bondus" hex drivers. I used to always run through a lot of screws because the heads would get stripped out. Ever since I started to use the MIP Thorps, I've never had to replace the screws because the screw heads' shape held together due to the precision of the Thorp and the hardness never gave way...”

-RoboSavvy.com, i-Sobot Robot Forum

MIP Thorps are VERY PRICEY in my opinion, but they are the best IMO. I've used a full set of these in R/C cars. I've torqued the hell out of them and they seem to still hold its shape. No noticeable rounding of the hex edges after repeated "abusive" use!

“Best Hex Drivers?

MIP, they have been the standard for years and you cant beat how hard the tips are!”

“I like the MIP ones. They have the best tips that I have found .”

RCCrawler.com, Rock Crawling Forum

“But if you want a wrench that is just down right indestructible, nothing beats the quality of the MIP thorp hex wrench”

“I myself have the losi wrenches, they are pretty good but I think nothing comes close to MIP wrenches. I have had a 2.0mm and a 3/32 MIP Thorp wrench for over 10 years, and they still are the best I have ever used, even better than hudy imo.”

“Agreed...the good old thorp (now MIP) wrenches are the best ever. All the Hudy guys may laugh at their plastic handles but the tips last forever, are hard to break and palm isn't sore for a month after building a new car.”

“I honestly have stripped more screws with hudy tools than my losi tools. My mip wrenches have yet to strip a screw. When my losi 2mm cant get out a screw I reach for my mip 2mm and it will get it out. And honestly I have had my mip 2mm for years now, and there handles are the best, like said above your hands will thank you.”

MIP BALL END WRENCHES

WHAT IT IS:  Precision ground hex wrench with ball-end tips and some of the best handles in the business.

WHY I LOVE IT:  The tips never loosen, (they’re molded into the handle), the handles provide perfect grip and torque, and the ball-end lets you get to screw at an angle, preventing rounded-off wrench tips and stripped screw heads.  Available in popular metric and SAE sizes.
